Water cooled elements with protective cover are elaborated. Cover promotes decrease of panel oxidation, crack formation and heat loss.

EAF charge
A new technology base and approptiate equipment for carbon-thermal reduction of iron containing technogeny wastes is elaborated in order to utilize these wastes in capacity of part of the EAF charge.

EAF off gas suction elbow
EAF off gas suction elbow with a system of primary dust removal is elaborated. It provides a possibility of metal charge burning decrease due to partial return of heavy particles into the EAF.

Combined roof. In it water-cooled elements in the central, most heat-stressed and worn out part and refractory in a peripheral zone are used. Such decision allows at the minimal losses of heat which on their expert usually do not fix, to reduce the refractory consumption due to replacement of it by water-cooled elements in the central part, usually limiting durability of the roof as a whole.

Using of warm roof and rarefied wall panels on typical 12- EAF allows to reduce consumption of roof brick on 80-90 ton per year (economy 160-190 ton/year on one furnace) and on 40-50% to reduce consumption of wall brick (economy 100-130 ton/year on one furnace). Durability of water-cooled elements is estimated in some thousand heats (2-3 years of operation). Thus the time of recovery of expenses for installation of water-cooled elements constitutes no more than 0,5-0,6 years for wall panels and no more than 1 year for the water-cooled roof. Use of the combined roof allows to reduce the of refractory consumption 1,8 - 2 times and to raise a life time of a peripheral brick zone 1,5- 2,5 times.
