Water cooled elements
Water cooled elements with protective cover are elaborated. Cover promotes decrease of panel oxidation, crack formation and heat loss.

EAF charge
A new technology base and approptiate equipment for carbon-thermal reduction of iron containing technogeny wastes is elaborated in order to utilize these wastes in capacity of part of the EAF charge.

EAF off gas suction elbow
EAF off gas suction elbow with a system of primary dust removal is elaborated. It provides a possibility of metal charge burning decrease due to partial return of heavy particles into the EAF.

The roof can be used in electric arc furnace (EAF) with specific capacity up to 0,5 MW/ton at diameter of working space up to 5 m (capacity 25-60 ton). The roof has a frame-free design. Spatial spiral panels are attached to sheets of the screen. Sheets of the screen are established and connected among themselves on a peripheral collector of the roof under a corner to horizon, forming an arch design. The central part of the roof (refractory or water-cooled) holds apart it, strengthening rigidity of the roof as a whole. Water-cooled spiral panels (figure) form the toroidal chamber in which the underpressure transferred through suction elbow and ducts from the fan is supported. Thus the system of distributed gas suction is created.

However at high thermal loadings, characteristic for EAF with intensive technology, steady operation of the frame-free roof is not provided.

Unlike traditional gas suction system, concentrated in the elbow cross section, designed by our Company system of distributed gas suction, having a much greater surface (the most part of periphery of the roof), essentially improves ecological characteristics of the roof: unorganized emissions decrease on 50-70%, the general dust content in the off gas decreases 1,5-2 times.
