Water cooled elements
Water cooled elements with protective cover are elaborated. Cover promotes decrease of panel oxidation, crack formation and heat loss.

EAF charge
A new technology base and approptiate equipment for carbon-thermal reduction of iron containing technogeny wastes is elaborated in order to utilize these wastes in capacity of part of the EAF charge.

EAF off gas suction elbow
EAF off gas suction elbow with a system of primary dust removal is elaborated. It provides a possibility of metal charge burning decrease due to partial return of heavy particles into the EAF.

Manufacturing                                                                                          Operation

A typical design of electric arc furnace (EAF) water cooled roof comprises tubular frame, panels, central part and suction elbow.

Frame consists of down and upper collectors for water supply, connected by tubular spokes. Frame may be designed for half-portal positioning on the EAF (traditional system) or for modern fork-type positioning system.

Panels are installed into sectors, forming by collectors and spokes, protecting the frame against heat flux from EAF working space, with possibility of removing in cases of repair or change.

Central part of the roof is a system of ceramics blocks equipped by electrode holes. It is installed into removable water cooled frame.

Hydraulic scheme of EAF roof frame provides separation of “in” and “out” water flows and optimization of parallel connected water circuits by regulation of its hydraulic resistances.

The main feature of our Company design is optimization of the EAF roof elements: panels, frame and suction elbow, which promotes more effective off gas suction especially from the central electrodes zone and primary off gas dedusting due to increasing of suction area. It provides 50-70% decrease of unorganized emissions from the EAF.
